Eligibility & Selection

The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation Scholarship is awarded annually. Awarded students must meet all the following eligibility requirements:

• Live in Nebraska;
• Graduate from a Nebraska high school or earn a Nebraska GED;
• Earn at least a 2.0 unweighted cumulative GPA (or 77 on a 100 point scale);
• First-time freshman when entering college;
• Plan to attend a Nebraska public college; and
• Need financial assistance in order to attend college.
  • Students do not need to be Pell Grant eligible.
  • Students must have a Student Aid Index below 10,000 to be eligible.
